LAHORE: On Monday, the Housing Department held a meeting where Provincial Minister of Housing, Urban Development, and Public Health Engineering, Mian Aslam Iqbal, oversaw a review of the department’s ongoing initiatives.
The minister was updated on the status of the projects by the secretary of housing and the head of the development authorities.
He instructed the concerned officers to work on public welfare schemes day and night in order to finish them as soon as possible in order to accommodate the housing needs of millions of people.
The goal of the New Pakistan Housing, and Ravi City Program is to provide those without roofs with one; these important public projects ought to be completed quickly, he urged.
The plans for revamping the entrance and exit roads of the provincial capital, according to the provincial housing minister, are crucial.
There is no room for complacency or delays in these projects because improved road infrastructure reduces fuel consumption, lowers air pollution, and improves traffic flow, he added.
