Multan Safe City Project Enters Implementation Phase

MULTAN:  City Police Officer (CPO), Mansoor-ul-Haq Rana, announced on Saturday that the Safe City Project in Multan will be completed for Rs 2 billion.

As per the details, the Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has assured the allocation of funds, and the project’s PC-1 will be submitted to the provincial government next week.

The details suggest that the project will be executed in phases, ensuring effective implementation.

CPO Mansoor-ul-Haq Rana made these remarks while addressing members of the Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI).

He emphasized the crucial role of the business community in the country’s economy and highlighted that peace and law and order are prerequisites for economic development.

Multan Police is taking concrete steps to maintain peace in the city, and the registration of cases in police stations is closely monitored every eight hours.

Furthermore, immediate action has been taken against officials who fail to register citizens’ cases and cause difficulties for them.

Rana further revealed that a crackdown on motorcycle and car lifter gangs is imminent to curb their activities.

He also shared that the city has witnessed a decrease in robbery incidents due to the police’s effective crackdowns.

According to officials. in the past few days, 11 robbers have been killed, and several others have been injured in 15 police encounters.
