NA Sub-Committee Orders Resolution of OPF Housing Scheme

ISLAMABAD: The Overseas Pakistani Foundation (OPF) valley Zone-V housing proposal was examined by the Sub-Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis.

The committee gave a directive to the senior officials of the relevant departments to meet and negotiate an amicable resolution.

On Monday, the sub-committee convened in the OPF committee room with Syed Javed Hasnain presiding over. OPF Valley Zone-V fee concerns were raised at the meeting.

A representative of the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) informed the committee that the failure to immediately distribute funding was causing a delay in development activity.

He claimed that, if only 50% of the funds is released, the FWO would mobilize the machinery and necessary equipment for the construction.

According to MNA Mahreen Razzaq Bhutto, the delay in the project is making it more expensive every day.

She also questioned the individual responsible for the delay while discussing the subject of the project’s design.
