ISLAMABAD: The Chairman Senate, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, has inaugurated the IT Complex at the Parliament House.
According to the DG (IT) Senate, the initiative has been a part of the Chairman’s Initiative of Digital Parliamentary Framework.
He added that the framework consists of upgradation of IT Infrastructure, Automation of Parliamentary Processes, and IT Services that are citizen-centric.
Additionally, the chairman was informed that the newly established IT Complex contains a Telecasting Cell, a Software Development Hall, a Helpdesk, an IT Store, and a Workshop.
The Chairman stated that Information Technology has transformed the functioning of important government institutions and the Parliament should rely more on IT to better assist the citizens.
He noted that ICT’s synergy makes it easier for the public to contact and talk with their legislators directly and that their will would be represented in the Parliament.
He went on to say that the implementation of state-of-the-art ICT services is a component of their efforts to rev up the activities of Parliament.
