The Senior Member of the Board of Revenue (SMBR), Nabil Javed, has announced that the Punjab Land Revenue Authority (PLRA) would soon start offering online ‘Fard’ documents to citizens.
As per the details, the digitization of land records, in partnership with the World Bank (WB), is almost complete.
The new online system is expected to help prevent illegal tampering with land records and enhance service delivery.
The WB has provided USD 150 million to the department for the digitization project, which includes a Geographic Information System (GIS) survey to accurately map the state’s land.
