ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) has extended the deadline for the door-to-door housing and population census, as per the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The extension was announced through an advertisement published in national dailies, urging the public to ensure complete inclusion in the census by sharing their address on 9727 or calling 0800-57574 if field enumerators have not yet visited their households.
The new deadline for the census is April 10.
To assist citizens in the census process, PBS has established 495 Census Support Centers across the country.
In Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Islamabad, these centers are located in the offices of deputy commissioners, while in Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, they are set up in the offices of assistant commissioners.
The purpose of these centers is to facilitate the public in submitting their census data and ensure that every household is counted accurately.
