LAHORE: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has authorized funding for 21 development schemes around Punjab.
The development projects were approved at the PDWP’s 5th meeting, which was presided over by Chairman of the Planning and Development Board Abdullah Khan Sumbal.
Funding for the following projects were approved during the meeting:
- PKR 412.43 million for the rehabilitation of a 7.90-kilometer-long road in the district of Bahawalpur from Mari Qasim Shah to Dera Bakha (Northern Bypass).
- PKR 475.9 million for the rehabilitation of a 4.8-kilometer-long road in district Bahawalpur from N-5 Ahmedpur East Road to the old bypass.
- The restoration of the 21-kilometer-long road from Qaimpur to Head Islam Tehsil Hasilpur in district Bahawalpur has been budgeted at PKR 1.165 billion.
- The restoration of the 20.25-kilometer-long road between Rahim Yar Khan (Noor-e-Wali Railway Crossing) to Sadiq Abad has been budgeted at PKR 1.006 billion (Fire Brigade Office Chowk)
- The rehabilitation of the 19-kilometer-long road from Khanpur to Nawankot via Azim Shahdistrict has been budgeted at PKR 983.751 million.
- The rehabilitation of the 11.25-kilometer-long Shahi Road from Feroza to Khanpur district Rahim Yar Khan has been budgeted at PKR 598.5 million.
- The rehabilitation and upgradation of the 32-kilometer-long Rangpur Chowk Munda Road in Muzaffargarh has been budgeted at PKR 1.39 billion.
- A total of PKR 1.665 billion has been allocated for the building of a dual carriageway road from the M-3 Motorway Samundri Interchange to Samundri City.
- A total of PKR 572 million has been allocated for the restoration of the Faisalabad-Satiana Road from the By-Pass to Tandlianwala (Phase I: Km No.13.93 to 34.54, Length = 20.61 Km, District Faisalabad) (Revised)
