Minister for Housing Reviews Progress of PHATA

LAHORE: Caretaker Minister for Housing, Urban Development, and Public Health Engineering, Barrister Syed Azfar Ali Nasir, visited the Directorate General of Punjab Housing & Town Planning Agency (PHATA).

As per the details, the minister was accompanied by Special Secretary (Housing) Saleha Saeed.

The purpose of the visit was to review the agency’s progress and discuss ways to improve its performance.

During the visit, PHATA DG Khalid Nazir and other officials briefed the minister and secretary about the agency’s ongoing projects.

Minister Nasir expressed his commitment to the welfare of the people and highlighted that the agency’s poor performance was due to the negligence and incompetence of the previous rulers.

He also expressed dissatisfaction with the agency’s efforts to provide adequate housing facilities to low-income families.

Besides, the minister directed DG PHATA to visit the ongoing schemes in different districts and ensure their development is completed within the stipulated period.
