Peshawar Administration Retrieves State Land worth Over Rs. 300 million

PESHAWAR: In a joint anti-encroachment operation on Monday, the District Administration Peshawar and the Capital Metropolitan Government recovered nearly five Kanal of state land valued at more than Rs. 300 million from the land-grabbing gang in Shinwari Town.

Sources claimed that a large detachment of police officials was deployed to avoid any form of undesirable circumstances.

Besides, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Peshawar, Shafiullah Khan, also instructed the Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC) to inspect government property on a regular basis and to take serious legal action to prevent encroachments from being built there in the future.

Previously, the administration in collaboration with the Metropolitan Authority also arrested nine people for erecting encroachments on the public property opposite Government College Peshawar.

The DC has directed the district administration to inspect public property throughout the district and take stern action against those who infringe on it.
