KP Administration Arrests 9 People in Anti-Encroachment Operation

PESHAWAR: The District Administration Peshawar on Monday, in collaboration with the Metropolitan Authority, arrested nine people for erecting encroachments on the public property opposite Government College Peshawar.

The details suggest that the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar had received complaints about encroachments on the public property opposite Government College, prompting him to issue directives for immediate action against those responsible.

In return, Assistant Commissioner (AC) Rao Hashim and Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC) Taniya Shaheen, along with Chief Demolishing Inspector Metropolitan Authority Qaiser Bacha, carried out an operation against illegal constructions built on public property.

To prevent any unforeseen incidents, a large police contingent was also deployed. Heavy gear was used to destroy the illegal constructions during the operation, and 9 persons were taken into custody, according to the spokesperson.

The DC has also directed the district administration to inspect public property throughout the district and take stern action against those who infringe on it.
