Peshawar District Administration Seals Illegal Commercial Properties

PESHAWAR: Following the Deputy Commissioner of Peshawar Shafi Ullah Khan’s orders, the district administration on Tuesday shut down 4 under-construction commercial premises.

As per the details, these properties were sealed because the building plans had not been approved, while 22 other store owners were detained for selling polythene bags.

Furthermore, in the operation under the direction of the Tehsil Municipal Administration Chamkani, Assistant Commissioner Izza Arshad and other officials monitored unlawful commercial and construction operations.

Additionally, feasible points for the removal of waste piles were identified and communicated to TMA Chamkani and the Pakha Ghulam region through instructions about cleaning week activities.

Besides, the DC ordered administrative authorities to take action against the unlawful and dangerous practice of selling gas in polythene bags in several parts of Peshawar in response to public complaints and social media reports.

The district authority detained the plastic bags with nozzles for injecting needle gas and detained 22 store owners for selling plastic polythene bags to fill with needle gas.

The district government cautioned store owners who engaged in illicit selling with strict legal action.
