PM Orders Probe as Bhara Kahu Flyover Incident Kills 2 Labourers, Injures 3

RAWALPINDI: A tragic incident occurred in Bhara Kahu as the shuttering of an under-construction bypass flyover collapsed, resulting in the death of two laborers and injuring three others.

The mishap caused chaos among the public, and rescue teams immediately reached the site to pull out the trapped laborers from the debris.

The 5.6 km Bhara Kahu bypass, which includes a 1 km flyover, starts from Malpur on Murree Road and ends at the Jugi bus stop towards Murree, covering the local bazaar.

Following the devastating event, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed the chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to investigate and report on the incident’s causes.

He has also instructed strict action against those found responsible for negligence leading to the tragedy.

In his message, the Prime Minister expressed his deepest sympathies and condolences to the families of the deceased laborers and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

This unfortunate event highlights the importance of ensuring strict adherence to safety measures and protocols during construction work to avoid any such incidents in the future.
