PM to Inaugurate 100 MW Iran-Gwadar Power Transmission Project

ISLAMABAD: The long-standing power crisis in Gwadar may finally come to an end as Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is set to inaugurate the 100 MW Iran-Gwadar power transmission project.

The project is a collaboration between Pakistan and Iran and will provide an uninterrupted power supply to Gwadar.

According to project authorities, Gwadar will be able to import electricity without any interruptions from Iran as the final testing for the 100 MW power project has been conducted successfully, and the supply will begin after the project’s unveiling by the prime minister.

The project has been executed in collaboration with several authorities, including the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA), the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA), China Overseas Port Holding Company, Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO), and National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC).
