LAHORE: On Wednesday, a district court granted a two-day physical detention of PMLN MNA Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf to the Anti-Corruption Establishment. Ashraf was arrested on charges of illegally acquiring state land.
According to the details, the accused was arrested by the Anti-corruption Establishment (ACE) in compliance with the court’s orders.
ACE disclosed that Chaudhary Muhammad Ashraf has occupied 157 acres, 1 Kanal, and 16 marlas of state land by fraud with the involvement and connivance of Patwari Muhammad Saleem and Gardawar Riasat Ali.
It was also revealed that the accused acquired land by using the name of Sharif Ahmed Hashmi as a fake allottee.
