KARACHI: A man was shot dead in Korangi allegedly in a targeted killing, according to the police.
The victim, identified as Mohammed Ismail, was riding a motorbike when an assailant intercepted him near Dhobi Ghat in 100 Quarters.
According to sources, the assailant fired at Ismail, who suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head and died on the spot.
The area Police Officer Ayaz Abbasi stated that the victim was a property dealer involved in the sale and purchase of plots in Ibrahim Hyderi.
Furthermore, it was also reported that there were ongoing land disputes between the victim and others in the area, which might have led to the murder.
The police are considering the possibility that the killing was a result of these property disputes.
Besides, the victim, originally from Attock, has been taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for a post-mortem examination.
