RAWALPINDI: On Monday, a magistrate court ordered the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Marina IT Tower, Sardar Khurram Shehzad, to be sent to Adiala Jail for 14 days of judicial remand in a cheque bouncing case.
The case was registered against him under section 489-F on a complaint filed by Muhammad Salman Saeed at Rawat police station.
Shehzad had been declared a proclaimed offender by a court of law and had been in hiding until a Rawat police team arrested him following orders from the CPO.
During the court hearing, the investigating officer (IO) informed the court that Salman Saeed had invested Rs. 20 million in Marina iT Tower, and in return, Shehzad had given him a bank cheque worth the same amount.
However, the cheque bounced, and the bank returned it dishonored. Saeed accused the CEO of committing monetary fraud and demanded legal action.
