RAWALPINDI: The Punjab Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department (ET&NCD) has announced a crackdown against property tax defaulters in Rawalpindi, starting today.
The excise department has given the go-ahead to attach properties of all small and large tax defaulters and freeze their bank accounts.
Furthermore, the department has prepared a list of around 20,000 property tax defaulters, and the officials will launch the crackdown against them today.
Additionally, the DG of the department has ordered to seal of household valuables, vehicles, and motorcycles of the defaulters, and issue arrest warrants for the defaulters.
Besides, the officials have been instructed to seal household appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, and air-conditioners worth up to Rs. 0.3 million, along with the bikes of small defaulters while the names of defaulters will be sent to financial institutions to freeze their bank accounts.
