Punjab Govt and ADB Pledge to Strengthen Partnerships for Development

LAHORE: A delegation led by Ms. Jingmin Huang, Director of the Water and Urban Development Sector at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), held discussions with the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi.

The meeting focused on the ongoing collaboration between the Asian Development Bank and Punjab, with a commitment to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors, including agriculture, water resource management, farm-to-market roads, and urban development.

During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the pivotal role of the Asian Development Bank in Punjab’s journey toward development and prosperity.

He highlighted the significance of timely completion of ongoing projects with ADB support, particularly in areas such as agriculture, urban development, and water management.

Expressing a strong desire for increased cooperation, Naqvi also discussed the strategic initiative to expand green projects across Punjab with the support of ADB.

Jingmin Huang praised the relentless efforts of CM Mohsin Naqvi and his team in advancing ADB’s program.

She acknowledged the Punjab government’s rapid progress in promoting ADB projects, reinforcing the commitment to further strengthen collaboration in various fields.

The meeting included key ADB officials, including Mr. Xijie(CJ) Lu, Head of the Pakistan Resident Mission Urban Unit Shaukat Shafi, Senior Project Officer Syed Umer Ali Shah, and Provincial ADB Coordinator Imran Sikandar Baloch.
