Punjab Govt to Install More Filtration Plants for Clean Drinking Water

RAWALPINDI: Caretaker Provincial Health Minister Dr. Jamal Nasir has emphasized the government’s commitment to providing clean drinking water to people at their doorstep through the installation of new filtration plants.

Dr. Nasir chaired a meeting to review the situation of water filtration points, where he directed that all filtration plants should be fully operational within one week.

According to sources, currently, a total of 329 water filtration plants are in use across the district.

Additionally, every filtration plant should be given a universal number, and details of who is responsible for maintaining each plant should be recorded, he ordered.

Besides, Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Liaquat Ali Chattha also encouraged philanthropists to participate in this initiative to install more filtration plants.
