LAHORE: Punjab’s Caretaker Local Government Minister, Ibrahim Murad, recently announced that the government is making strides toward digital municipal governance.
He revealed that online systems and mobile apps are being developed to make it easier for citizens to submit applications, register complaints related to municipal services, and pay government fees and utilities.
During a meeting to review the progress made in digitizing the Punjab Local Government Department, Murad presided over discussions regarding the implementation of these new technologies.
The initiative is expected to streamline the government’s operations and provide more efficient services to the public, he added.
