The last section of this highway, from the said junction to Murree Road, will also undergo an overhaul.

Besides, the design and construction work for the entire project is expected to be completed within six months.

The current prolonged traffic signal at the junction of Serena Chowk has been causing traffic congestion and inconveniencing motorists, resulting in frequent traffic jams during rush hours.

An engineer from CDA emphasized that upon completion, this project would resolve the issue of traffic jams and make Srinagar Highway a signal-free artery.

In addition, the meeting attendees were informed that the civic agency has recently been awarded the project for widening Jinnah Avenue from F-8 to F-10.
