Work on Flyover Portion of Bhara Kahu Bypass Kicks Off

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has begun work on the Bhara Kahu bypass project’s flyover section.

As per the details, National Logistics Cell (NLC), the CDA’s contractor, has begun piling work on the one-kilometer flyover project, which is part of the Bhara Kahu bypass road.

The officials from the civic body’s engineering wing stated that approximately 275 piles will be installed in the flyover portion.

The project was still being worked on at full speed, with the exception of the area around Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), following a stay order obtained by university faculty from the Islamabad High Court.

The spokesperson of CDA briefed that the flyover and interchange, the two main parts of the road, were currently being worked on at full speed while the construction of the road was going on at the same time.

The project’s foundation stone was laid earlier on September 30 by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who also instructed the NLC to finish it in three months rather than the four stated in the PC-I.
