RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has completed peri-urban planning for Gujar Khan and Kotli Sattian as part of determining the new urban boundaries of the Rawalpindi district for the next 25 years.
As per the details, the RDA has also sought objections from citizens about the proposed boundaries.
The consultant, Mott MacDonald, is due to submit a planning report for the other tehsils of the district in the last week of May.
According to RDA officials, this determination of the urban limits will help plan for the needs of the growing population in urban and rural areas for the next 25 years.
Besides, the RDA has also launched an awareness campaign regarding the new urban boundaries of the district.
The boundaries will be determined with different types of zones proposed, including green, residential, industrial, and agro-farm zones.
Moreover, the RDA has uploaded the peri-urban structure plan on its website for public reference.
