Rawalpindi Ring Road to Be Given Priority, Says Commissioner

RAWALPINDI: The Commissioner of Rawalpindi Division and Project Director of Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR), Liaquat Ali Chatta, chaired a crucial consultative meeting with various stakeholders to discuss the potential benefits of the Ring Road project in resolving traffic issues in the twin cities.

Attending the meeting were key figures, including Saif Anwar Jappa, Director General of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Presidents of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Rawalpindi, Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bus and Transport Union, Rawat Industrial Estate, and representatives from Anjuman-e-Tajran Rawalpindi.

Highlighting the significance of the Rawalpindi Ring Road, the Commissioner emphasized that the project will be given top priority due to its potential to address the traffic problems faced by the region.

Earlier, the RDA had partnered with a Turkish company, Asian Consulting Engineers, and Botek Bosporus Technical Consulting Company, for third-party validation consultancy services.

According to the Commissioner, the aim is to identify the best route for the Rawalpindi Ring Road while validating existing proposals.
