RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) plans to build a public parking lot on a five-Kanal plot of land valued in millions of rupees.
According to the information, the RDA issued the directives to remove any unauthorized structures from RDA-owned land, so that the construction could be started.
The sources say that the designated plot is located in the Mohanpura Housing Scheme, directly across from the Novelty Cinema in Rawalpindi.
Besides, Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, Director General of Rawalpindi Development Authority, inspected the five-kanal open space and asked RDA to begin construction of a boundary wall on this empty property.
The DG issued guidelines and ordered the relevant authorities to help locals in parking their autos and motorcycles.
Muhammad Asif Janjua, Director of State Management, Aam Rasheed, Deputy Director of Engineering Aziz Ullah, and other officials were also present during the event.
