RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has taken action against illegal construction in the Faisal Colony service road area near Old Airport Road in Rawalpindi.
As part of the operation, the RDA enforcement squad demolished the shed of an under-construction house and sealed two shops.
A spokesperson for the RDA stated that the authority had launched the operation against illegal buildings and encroachments.
The enforcement squad, with the assistance of the local police, carried out the operation to uphold the law.
The Director General of the RDA had instructed the staff to take strict action against all forms of illegal construction and commercial activities in the controlled area of RDA.
In addition, the RDA has planned to survey to determine the fees for approval of illegal residential and commercial buildings, complementary maps, plans of buildings, and the regularization of all illegal residential and commercial buildings.
The RDA has urged residents to show moral responsibility and remove all encroachments to avoid further loss.
Additionally, the authority advises citizens not to invest in illegal and unauthorized real estate projects and high-rise buildings as the RDA has not approved them.
Instead, citizens are encouraged to consult the Authorities before investing in any such projects.
The RDA’s action against illegal construction and encroachments is a positive step towards ensuring the safety and well-being of the people.
The authority’s efforts will go a long way in promoting a legal and regulated environment for construction and commercial activities in Rawalpindi.

What about the illegal construction on sayed pur road and also holy family road residential area some commercial properties are 100% illegal built how can they built 8 story building in residential area even they are allowed to build 5 story illegally you have to take some step because we are loosing our privacy and also illagal construction work making the area worse
Take the action in Mangral Model Town, Shaheen Town streets.
Kurri road , khanna road, krl road Gulzar e quaid main road all became commercial. Roads became narrow .
Few thousand submit in societies and got approval for commercial
Satellite town houses and land used in commercial activities
is it legal to do that? how to make a legal request?
Perhaps bcz of revised building byelaws for old established and new housing societies, 600+ yards residential plots subdivision is creating problems for already constructed house for not leaving rear and side setbacks as per old byelaws.
Infact when a 600 yard lot is subdivided, it has to maintain the already approbed laws for all set backs, which , now, are affecting the neighbourhood privacy and open spaces requirment.
