RDA’s Enforcement Squad Demolishes 3 Illegal Housing Schemes

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) recently conducted an operation against three illegal housing schemes. The schemes were identified as Cighu Farmhouse Housing Scheme, Royal Ghar Housing Scheme, and New Iqra City/Iqra Residencia.

The RDA’s Enforcement Squad took strict action by demolishing the booking offices, billboards, and main gates of these illegal housing schemes.

According to a spokesperson for the RDA, the Enforcement Squad is committed to cracking down on illegal housing schemes in the region.

Notices were also issued to the owners of the three identified housing schemes under Section 39, 12(5) of the PDC Act 1976, and Section 38 of Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Schemes Rules 2021.

The Enforcement Squad of RDA, which included In charge/Assistant Director Building Control, Deputy In charge, Superintendent Scheme, and other team members, conducted the operation against the illegal housing schemes.

The RDA’s efforts to combat illegal housing schemes in the region are ongoing, and the authority has called on all citizens to cooperate and report any such schemes.
