RUDA Decides to Collaborate with US-Based Company for Wastewater Treatment Plant

LAHORE: The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) has decided to join hands with an American Company to establish Waste & Water Treatment Plants around the Ravi River to resolve the problems of contaminated water that travels through 12 drains into the river.

Details shared disclosed that the treatment plants will have the ability to treat more than 1,000 cusecs of contaminated water and aid in the revival of underwater species.

In this regard, the Chief Executive officer of RUDA, Imran Amin, has met with CEO Eros Kaw in order to discuss the process of the said treatment plant.

CEO Imran Amin was also briefed about the benefits of this project and was also told about the filtration process of water that will make it clean and drinkable.

According to the details, the plants will treat about 1,100 cusecs of water that will then be released into the river each day and the wastewater treatment plants will be positioned at different locations along the Ravi River.

Additionally, the water plant will be having cutting-edge technology and will be worth PKR 80 billion.

Costing PKR 80 billion, these treatment plants will be having cutting-edge technology and will promote boating, fishing, business, and tourism in the city.
