LAHORE: The Ravi Urban Development Authority (Ruda) recently commemorated Youm-e-Takreem Shuhada Pakistan, an event dedicated to honoring the martyrs who selflessly sacrificed their lives to defend the country and its people.
During the ceremony, Ruda’s CEO, Imran Amin, emphasized the importance of showing respect to the families of these brave soldiers and paying tribute to their sacrifices.
He said: “Our brave heroes who have laid their lives for the sake of our homeland we need to respect the families and pay homage to them.”
In a demonstration of solidarity with the martyrs, Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) workers organized a rally on Mall Road, which saw the participation of over 2,000 workers, union leaders, and LWMC officials.
Additionally, LWMC teams carried out a special cleanliness operation in the city’s various graveyards as part of the Youm-e-Takreem Shuhada-e-Pakistan commemoration.
