Safe City Islamabad Extends Surveillance Coverage with 900 New Cameras

ISLAMABAD: A delegation consisting of under-training ANF officers and faculty members recently visited Safe City Islamabad, where they received a warm welcome from SSP Safe City and his team.

During the visit, the officers were briefed about the advanced features and benefits of the Centralized System, Command and Control Center, data hub unit, and modern technology used in the Safe City Project.

SSP Safe City highlighted the crucial role played by Safe City Islamabad in various aspects of security, including the Police Operations Center, Emergency Control Center, Dispatch Control Center, E-Challan System, and the Pucar-15 helpline.

The delegation was informed that under the leadership of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Safe City Project expanded its coverage to different areas of the city, with the installation of 900 additional cameras on the orders of Federal Interior Minister Rana Sana Ullah Khan.

The project has been integrated with key commercial centers, buildings, metro bus stations, shopping malls, and private housing societies.

Besides, facial recognition cameras have also been strategically placed at the city’s entry and exit points to identify suspicious elements effectively.

As a token of appreciation, the SSP Safe City presented an honorary shield to the visiting delegation.

The delegation expressed their gratitude to CPO Safe City/Traffic and his team for their exceptional work and professionalism in implementing this important security project.
