MULTAN: In a bid to completely eradicate the dengue virus from the city, Secretary of Housing South Punjab, Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, gave instructions to dengue surveillance teams in order to strengthen their defenses against dengue larvae.
The secretary stated that every available resource was being used to rid the city of dengue larvae while touring various parts of Bosan Town to review ongoing dengue surveillance.
Furthermore, he also gave the dengue surveillance teams the order to pay close attention to the regions where dengue cases were increasing.
According to Asif Chaudhry, thorough planning was used to ensure the success of the campaign against dengue.
Besides, he also praised the surveillance team’s performance and urged them to work harder to combat the virus.
It is to mention here that a total of 13, 455 dengue virus cases have been documented so far this year with 1,045 patients under treatment in various hospitals in the province.
