MULTAN: The Secretary of Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education (SH&ME) Department South Punjab, Muhammad Afzal Nasir Khan, has ordered officials to ensure that Nishtar-II Hospital is made operational within the given time.
During a visit to the construction site, Khan instructed officials to work towards the completion of the hospital on a war footing and emphasized that no excuse would be accepted for its delay.
Also present during the visit were NMU VC, Dr Rana Altaf, MS Nishtar Hospital, Dr Amjad Rao, Deputy Secretary, Ali Sajjad, and IDAP officials.
IDAP officials reported to the secretary that machinery installation would be completed by May 30, which is the deadline.
Nishtar-II Hospital is expected to provide modern healthcare facilities to the people of South Punjab and help alleviate the burden on existing healthcare facilities, Nasir claimed.
