ISLAMABAD: Senator Ch. Tanveer Khan has pledged his support to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) for the acquisition of land needed for its upcoming industrial estate project.
He expressed his willingness to collaborate with ICCI in securing land for the project, emphasizing its importance in bolstering the economy.
During his visit to the ICCI, Senator Ch. Tanveer Khan assured the business community that he recognizes their vital role in economic growth and development.
He stressed the need to facilitate businesses, which in turn would contribute to strengthening the overall economy.
Accompanied by his son Barrister Danial Chaudhry, Senator Ch. Tanveer Khan addressed the business community and discussed various aspects of economic growth.
Khan proposed that ICCI should consider establishing the industrial estate along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route or identify a suitable alternative location.
He also mentioned his intention to arrange a meeting between an ICCI delegation and Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani.
The purpose of the meeting would be to discuss ICCI’s representation in business-related standing committees of the Senate, fostering a stronger partnership between the business community and the legislative body.
Khan highlighted the significance of the recently inaugurated Rawalpindi Ring Road by outgoing Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif.
He stressed the role of ICCI in skill development, aiming to prepare a skilled workforce to meet the demands of various industries.
ICCI President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari expressed the chamber’s long-standing efforts to establish a modern industrial zone that can stimulate industrialization, create job opportunities, attract investments, and boost exports.
He urged Senator Ch. Tanveer Khan to collaborate in the land acquisition process for this significant project.
Bakhtawari also emphasized the importance of formulating long-term economic policies to revive and sustain Pakistan’s economy.
