SHC Dismisses Petition Challenging Legality of Building in Clifton

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court dismissed a petition challenging the legality of a multi-story building in the Clifton area, observing that it lacked any evidence to support the allegations.

The court has also expressed concern over the increasing trend of filing frivolous petitions, causing harassment to private parties and public functionaries, and resulting in a waste of court time.

According to sources, the court noted that such petitions, filed in absence of a cause of action, were tantamount to an abuse of the legal process and that relevant authorities or forums should first be approached.
