SHO Chontra Sacked Over Ties with Land Mafia

RAWALPINDI: According to a police spokesperson on Monday, Chontra Inspector Rana Zulfiqar was sacked as Station House Officer (SHO) by City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Shehzad Nadim Bukhari for allegedly having connections to land grabbers.

He claims that CPO received information alleging that Inspector Rana Zulfiqar, SHO of police station Chontra, was supporting the local land mafia and had connections to land squatters.

According to sources, the accused police officer was the subject of an investigation by the city police chief, who found him guilty.

The guilty police officer was dismissed by the CPO in light of the inquiry findings, the sources confirmed.

The spokesperson claimed the linkages between police officers and the land mafia would not be permitted at any cost, and personnel discovered engaging in corrupt behavior would face legal consequences.
