PESHAWAR: Simbri Construction Solutions, Lahore (SCSL), and the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) have inked a commercial licensing agreement for collaborative research on the development of sustainable construction materials.
The agreement was signed by SCSL Chief Operation Officer (COO) Syed Salman Al-Husainy and UET Manager Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) Dr. Tariq Khalil.
According to UET Vice Chancellor Prof Iftikhar Hussain, the institution works in the civil engineering field to produce environmentally friendly products for the construction sector.
Furthermore, SCSL COO stated that the company wished to bring corporate culture to the construction business.
He argued that putting practitioners and academia together under one roof is critical to discover a research-based solution that would bring sustainability and innovation to the construction sector.
