Sindh Govt Launches Compensation Scheme for Flood-Damaged Houses

The Sindh Govt has launched a compensation scheme for the houses that have been destroyed by the floods.

As per the details, the govt will provide Rs. 3 lakh for the houses destroyed by the rains, while PKR 50,000 will be issued to the houses destroyed by the floods.

While speaking at the launching ceremony, Sidh Govt Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that the funds would be disbursed from November 30th through several different banks.

He also added that the cabinet had already reviewed a comprehensive plan for building 1.8 million new houses.

However, in a separate cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Sindh, Murad Ali shah approved a two-day international conference to discuss the rehabilitation of the irrigation and drainage system that was damaged by the devastating floods.

It is important to mention that earlier, the Sindh Govt asked the World Bank and Asian Development Bank for 1.2 trillion for rehabilitation work in the province.
