LAHORE: Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR) Punjab Nabeel Javed paid a visit to Punjab Journalist Housing Foundation (PJHF) Phase-1 Harbanspura.
Accompanying him were Chief Settlement Commissioner Shahid Niaz, Secretary S&R, ADC(R) Adnan Rasheed, AC (Shalimar) Sharina Juneju, Assistant Director PJHF Muhammad Adnan, and others.
During the visit, SMBR directed that the groundwork, including the master plan and map of PJHF, should be completed, and policies should be clarified.
He also emphasized that no construction should be allowed in B block and strict action should be taken against any violation.
The SMBR stressed that the orders of the High Court would be strictly implemented, and no negligence would be tolerated.
Furthermore, he asked ADC (R) to compile data on those encroaching on government lands and take strict action against them.
He also suggested that the limits of the Punjab Journalist Housing Foundation be determined immediately, and no concession should be given to those encroaching on government lands.
Besides, SMBR assured resolving the problems of journalists on a priority basis as the provision of a roof to the journalist community was the priority.
