‘Strict Action Will be Taken Against Real Estate Frauds in Karachi’

KARACHI: Deputy Inspector General Police (DIGP) East Muqaddas Haider has ensured that law enforcement agencies will take action against fraudulent activities in the real estate sector.

The DIGP made this announcement while meeting with the Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD).

He also announced that a million security cameras would be installed across the city under the Safe City Program to create a safe and sound environment for citizens as well as business personnel.

The DIG also shared that a committee will be established in collaboration with ABAD to resolve land-grabbing and encroachment issues.

He added that he would personally review the committee’s review every month.

It is vital to mention that land grabbing has become chronic in Karachi, with frequent judicial involvement leading to prolonged court battles.

The KDA and SBCA had planned to develop a mechanism to address unresolved land ownership and transfer issues.
