Traffic Police Wages War Against Encroachment Mafia to Unclog Traffic

RAWALPINDI: The City Traffic Police (CTP) in Rawalpindi launched a special campaign against the encroachment mafia to improve the flow of traffic.

According to the CTP spokesperson, the encroachment operation against the land mafia was led by the in-charge of the Adiala sector.

The Chief Traffic Officer of Rawalpindi, Taimur Khan, cited the growing encroachment as the main cause of traffic disruption in the city.

In the first phase of the campaign, the operation would be expedited against the encroachers.

It was shared that the illegal encroachers had been warned and cases shall be filed against those who do not remove encroachments after being warned.

The CTO further emphasized that the free flow of traffic on highways is a fundamental right for all road users.
