Indus Motor Cars got the rights to make Toyota cars in Pakistan in 1989. The 11th generation corolla 1st, was launched by Toyota Indus Motors in Pakistan back in 2014. And lately a new facelift is launched, Altis Grande 1.8, 2017 model, the 11th generation car of Toyota Corolla having the most features being offered, it is the top spot variant. Moving towards the review.

Interior
Toyota has completely refurbished the interior of the new variant by making changes that are not very obvious but elusive. Having the leather seats, and a 3-dimensional rioting interior with soft-touch padding creates a luxurious environment. There is a push start button is there to start the car. A 9-inch in-dash infotainment system is there surrounded by a piano black bezel. We get two center AC vents on top of the LCD with a digital clock in the middle. Under the new LCD panel of Toyota Corolla Grande, you get a new AC control unit. Instead of regular touch buttons like in the pre-facelift model now you get toggle switches for changing various vent positions and fan speeds of the AC. Then we have the power mirror and retractable control. Then we have a power socket of 120 V USB and Aux/Charging port. The speedometer, TFT display is 4.2 inches having a blue color background lights. At the back, there is a luggage tray, tier front console box.
Exterior
Now moving towards the exterior, the exterior of the car is completely transformed by having a new front grille, new headlights, and a new front bumper. The rear of the car is almost the same except the brake lights. The front of the car is a complete chrome whereas the earlier models were half chromed and half black front grill. The headlights of the car are also designed freshly by having the daytime LED lights and Auto leveling headlamps.
The exterior of the car also has the front and rear cameras, premium door handles with chrome lining, side skirts, a 16-inch twin tone alloy rims and colored mud flaps
The deck of the car is twin strip with chrome lining unlike the earlier variant, there is a smart trunk opener at the rear of the car.
In this variant of the Toyota Corolla, we have a keyless remote for entry. And a sunroof is also available in the in the model.
Colors
The colors available in the new variant are Attitude Black, Super White, Silver Metallic, Graphic Grey, Phantom Brown and Dorado Gold.
Engine
Altis Grande, 2017 comes with a 1.8L inline-4 water cooled engine. It has a Toyota dual VVT-I technology. And in CVT-i model, the engine is mated to Toyota’s CVT gearbox. Manual Grande Altis comes with the same engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The 2ZR-FE engine is equipped with a sequential multiport fuel injection system (SFI) as well as Toyota’s dual VVT-I technology.
The engine makes a nice heavy roar due to the Corolla’s Acoustic Control Induction System .this feature is available in different Toyota’s models it gives the engine power and improves the performance at different speeds. It also gives the car a better and economical fuel consumption.
Mileage
It has a fuel tank of 55 liters and a fuel average of 14.8km/l. In actual the local city mileage is 8-10 km/l and a highway mileage is 12-14km/l.
Safety Features
- Airbags
There are dual SRS (Supplement Restraint System) airbags for the driver and the passenger. The air bags will bloat if the car is exposed to some kind of uncertain and severe situation which can cause injury to the driver and passengers.
- Vehicle Stability Control & Traction Control
In the safety features, we have VSC (vehicle stability control) it gives an improved handling and stability of the car as slippery roads. The other feature is TRC (Traction control) it prevents the wheels from spinning while starting the car or speeding on slippery roads.
- ABS & EBD
The ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) helps wheels to stop from locking up when the brakes are used in rush or on a slippery road surface. Whereas EBD & BA (Electronic Brake Distribution) and (Brake Assist) safeguard the vehicle stability under hard braking and when ABS unit kicks in.
- GOA
GOA (Global Outstanding Assessment) is a crash safety body comprising an impact absorbing body and a high strength cabin absorbs as much impact energy as possible by dissolving the impact energy throughout the entire vehicle.

ISOFIX is an international standard for fitting a child seat safely and simply. These are our regular seat belts.
Assembly and Launch
As mentioned above Toyota Corolla Altis 1.8 is launched by Toyota Indus Motors in Pakistan and is assembled by TMC’s assembly line.
