Ufone Introduces New Number Series Starting with ZERO

Ufone becomes the first operator to launch number series starting with zero digit.

We have got this info from our sources that numbers starting with zero will be available, for instance: 0333-0xxxxxx

It is not confirmed at the moment whether this series is available throughout the country or has been launched in few cities only, in initial phase at least.

Moreover, as per Ufone representative, numbers are being generated on random basis so it wipes the old concept that numbers starting with 5 are usually from Islamabad/Rawalpinid, 4 for Lahore etc.

It merits mentioning here that Ufone is already operating in the country with five codes (0331, 0332, 0333, 0334, 0336) and 0335 which is the code for landline number of Azad Kashmir.

This new idea will surely bring a huge series of new numbers, and code-conscious persons may now be able to get the numbers as per their choice of code. Like 0333 which sometimes seems hard to find, will be available now.

Juz a minor correction. 0335 is not code of landline in AJK but is the code of Mobile network of SCO(called SCOM)

0335 is the code for land line numbers of Azad Kashmir. They have different codes for each District. However, mobile service of AJK is SCOM and has code 0355.

Man, you guys need to check facts. 0335 is not with SCOM anymore. SCOM codes start with 035. Moreover, these numbers have been out in the markets for weeks if not months.

0335 used to b the previous code alloted to and being offered to the mobile network SCOM, now because of increasing number of users or purchased sims PTA has changed the code scheme which used to be 4 digit i.e. 0345,0333,0321 …..now its 034,033,032 etc…. as the 0335 starts with 033…so SCOM had to move to 035..so it offers 0355 numbers right now……same is the case with zong(previously paktel) which used to have 0303,0304 but now the codes have beeen changed to 0313,0314 because 030 is alloted to mobilink and 0303 starts with 030…infact mobilink is now offering 0303 and 0304……0335 is now ufone’s series and lets c when they r gonna offer the numbers having this series……

moreover the landline series of AJK starts with 0582…….. any number starting with 03 will b of a cellular network and will b charged accordingly….

Actually some time back PTA has given three digits codes to the companies like 033 to Ufone O30 to mobilink and 034 to Telenor ,The actual numbers are now 8 digits 033XXXXXXXX.So the series is not starting from 0.Its start with 3 and followed by 0.
