          • I didn’t say its a bad phone or bad price tag, bt 5000 mah vibe p 1 is better choice if n when it launches cuz it has double the endurance rating :)

                • please help me buying xiaomi phone, I’m getting one from Dubai, i have two choices mi note or redmi note 3. Which one to go for? I like mi note as it’s slimmer. What’s ur suggestion?

                  • well , they both share the same focal demerit , i.e no micro sd
BUT , the Note 3 is a bit compact at 5.5 compared to 5.7 and has a fingerprint scanner. not to mention , a newer 64 bit MTK SoC , the 6795 which is miles better compared to a 32 bit SD 801.

the only thing still bugging me is the camera quality. solid reviews are YET to come out …
if you can wait , see whether the note 3 camera is good enough. if you can’t waot go for the mi note , as it has a proven killer camera. i personally advise you to wait , as it can be well worth it !

    • and i wish (my wish for 2016) Xiaomi comes to Pakistan with Redmi Note 3 @ US$180 = Rs.19000.

  • That’s something to consider, definitely. I thought of its RAM to be 1GB but I’m surprised. Price is great.

  • I have got the Vibe P1 Pro version from Hong Kong online retailier TinyDeal.

But to my utter surprise it has issue.

    1. FingerPrint Scanner which is why I bought it IS NOT WORKING.

    2. Physical power button which Lenovo bragged about IS NOT WORKING

    2. NFC, there’s NFC but well, it is like Haathi k daant NOT WORKING.

Moreover I got Lenovo K80M for one of my friends from the same store and guess what? the power saving button has stopped working now in less than 2 months of use while the price is 190 USD

Another model Lenovo A806 the inner speaker for calls stopped working.

I suggest not to buy lenovo as they are still struggling in the industry.

    • I heard lenovo have quality control problems many users complain about faulty sets but let’s just wait for full review on this set.

      • i have bought lenovo vibe shot for my wife from uae and believe me built quality is awesome. it came with glass casing

        • Vibeshot , pretty high-end.
pretty sure lenovo don;t wanna screw up that line of their products !

hey , as a sidenote , can u test the vibeshot camera and tell me about the results , esp with the 3-tone , temperature compensating flash on the rear cam?

          • i guess vibe and zuk are their best series.

and for the camera part on vibe shot …it has plenty of control under manual setting for professionals. and for auto mode it has five scene auto selection. day time photo without flash are great as it is 16MP camera. but the real magic is its low light photo with and without flash. it can take picture in very low light . on one occasion iphone 6 was unable to take a photo due to low light and vibe shot took that with ease.
i can assure you that its among the best camera on a phone. and camera focus and taking photo is really fast

            • hmm .. nice.
i guess Lenovo finally beat Apple in one department …

how much did u get it for ? in Pkr , ofcourse…

                • aww … crap :/ , hate the currency devaluation !

thats enthusiast class mid range.. just a notch below high-end.

      • I don’t have any problems on my Lenovo a6000. Yeah they messed up some things in lollipop update but they removed the bugs with two more updates. Battery is working gr8. Looks and works better than Qmobiles of my colleagues in college. But now p1m have a better ram so its definitely a better buy!

    • @Jalozistar:disqus , hey … i assume you’re in PAkistan ?
how did u order from the Chinese Webshop Tinydeal ?
and how did u get your order delivered to you ?

          • Bro just to add on vibeshot… One of the unique features is that it’s dual sim both 4g supported obviously one at a time secondly both sims are even if one running a call… If someone calls on the other number u will listen to a beep sounding….. I got it in 1000 riyals from ksa

    • Sorry for your loss, I had a question though, how did you get your phone cleared from Custom guys, I heard it is a real pain in the neck?

    • Lenovo always sell devices in two ranges, one known as Normal (only sell in china) and other is ROW (Rest Of World)
Identification is OS version, for international piece you’ll get build number as
      P70-A_S134_150729_16GB_ROW
And it is not recommended to get Chinese version of hardware outside china, even it is illegal for lenovo if they directly sell chinese version outside.

All the problems you have faces may be due to environmental differences like electricity failure, low voltages while charging or high voltages, room temperature, humidity etc

  • decent phone on paper … BUT
morons shopkeepers will STILL sell it for more , around 18k … so there goes your price parity

  • My cousin say discounted phones on online Chinese stores are defective and they don’t give the warranty so you can’t claim and the same problem morphious suffered. It’s only two months of use if he had warranty he could’ve claimed.

    • but my question is about the clearance from Custom guys, whether a phone is defective or not, it has to to get custom clearance, how did @Jalozistar:disqus accomplished it?

      • I don’t really know some ppl on pakwheels forums say that they got the phone at there doorstep and some say custom waalon se laina para. Search “How to buy from Ali express in Pakistan” on Google a link for pakwheels forums discussion will appear it can help u I think.

        • I have bought some tech stuff under $10 from aliexpress and received it on my doorstep without any custom duty.but i am not sure about smartphones …

          • pta will not allow you to ship smartphones from international websites. they will seal the smartphone as u have to take a letter from pta to clear it from customs first

    • It does have warranty but you have to send through registered air mail back to Hong Kong as courier causes high custom charges.

  • Question: What are other alternatives to this phone, available locally, in Pakistan, that have similar specs (baterry capacity being one important aspect) and are cheaper?

  • complete rip off for Pakistani consumer. Lenovo should not sell this for more than 12000 I guess.

  • And now, after creating hype, you’ve edited the article with the real price. Classic propakistani.
