The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is all set to kick off again in West Indies and player auction has concluded.
The league which started in 2013 has gained popularity amongst the fans and the cricketers over the years, which is why the auction included some prominent names from the world of cricket.
The draft for CPL’s upcoming edition took place in London on Thursday where Lendl Simmons and Martin Guptill fetched the highest bids.
Pakistan’s Representation in CPL
Since the start of T20Is, Pakistan has earned the reputation of being one of the best teams.

From 227 players registered in the draft for CPL, 53 belonged to Pakistan. However, only 8 of the 53 have been selected by the franchises.
Sohail Tanvir, the left-arm seamer, has been identified as the highest grossing Pakistani. Tanvir has been retained by Guyana Amazon Warriors for a whopping US$ 160,000.
The Warriors dug deep in their pockets their pockets and managed to bag Shoaib Malik for US$ 130,000.
The current Karachi Kings pair of Imad Wasim and Shahid Afridi have been signed by Jamaica Tallawahs.

Pakistani bowling contingent in the event is represented by Wahab Riaz and Junaid Khan. Whereas Ruman Raees and Shadab Khan have been bagged by St Lucia Stars and the Trinbago Knight Riders respectively.
