Fakhar Zaman Shoots to No 2 In Latest T20I Rankings

Following tremendous performance in the tri-series against Zimbabwe and Australia, Fakhar Zaman has jumped 44 places to be ranked as the world’s second best player in the T20I format.

The left-handed opener batsman had everything to lose going into the series. However, his performances have not only cemented his position as an opener for the national team but also silenced all critics.

Pakistan played a total of 5 matches and faced Australia three times. Here’s how Fakhar’s performances earned him the title of being no. 2 in the world:

Fakhar now trails Aaron Finch of Australia, who sits at the top of the list. Finch now has a rating of 900, following his 172 run inning against Zimbabwe, is the highest ever rating achieved by any player in T20I rankings.

Babar Azam, who has been injured, has lost 4 places in the rankings as well. He now sits in no. 5 position behind Rahul and Munro of India and New Zealand respectively.
