Maiwand Bank being one of the upcoming banks in Afghanistan has signed up with Avanza Solutions through their local partner Pacific Consulting & Trading (PCT) for their new operation setup selecting Nimbus as their ATM and POS Controller solution.
They have gone with Avanza’s winning combination of Nimbus (ATM & POS Controller), Rendezvous (Middleware) and Vision (Debit Card Production and Reporting Solution) and have named it EDGE. Furthermore, Maiwand Bank’s customer’s will have the facility to authenticate themselves using finger prints – state of the art biometric solution will be deployed to provide this feature at the ATMs.
After a comprehensive technical competence and financial evaluation process, the bank selected Nimbus as their ATM switch for consolidating its banking operations. The multi channeled comprehensive end to end next generation capability of Nimbus will not only enable the bank to fulfill its current requirements but also allow future expansions with the help of Avanza’s financial middleware Rendezvous in place.
Initially Nimbus will equip Maiwand Bank to effectively establish and operate their ATM channel. With time, if Bank wishes to add and integrate its banking channels, Nimbus will use its channel integration features to help the bank establish a complete e-infrastructure platform. With such a platform in place, new additions and innovations will not bring with them the hassle of integration and high end costs.
