TeleCard’s WLL License Case

Under the directives of Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has canceled the WLL License of Tele Card Private Limited over misuse of license.

PTA admitted in the court that Tele Card Limited was not allowed to allow any other company to use its services, however Tele Card allowed Augure Pakistan Limited to use its license.

Tele Card Company was one of the main company of Pakistan in the past but facing severe financial crisis now a days and the selling of its shares was less as compare to its standard while the cancellation of WLL License would affect its reputation in the market.

PTA issued 13 WLL License in 2001 and only two companies Wateen and Wi-Tribe offering their services in the country. The hearing of the petition would be held on February 25.
