JAZZ Apna Hai – Mobilink’s New Tag Line

Our sources in Mobilink informed us that Mobilink is going to re-launch their prepaid brand JAZZ with a new taglines and that will be from NO SAMJHOTA to APNA HAI.

Recently we had reported that Mobilink’s management asked its franchises to remove all banners/posters and pamphlets containing “No Samjhota” tagline.

The mystery for removing No Samjhota ads has been resolved for now, but Mobilink’s move to change its tag-line is not comprehended by the experts, especially when Ali Zafar is going pretty smooth with all Jazz campaigns.

If this change is only in the tag-line, with no re-launch, no new services, then it is going to be evident that issue was related with Quality of Service, or maybe PTA had asked them to do so.

On lighter note, Mobilink is in Samjhota now with PTA by removing No Samjhota from its ads.

Update

As we were told, “Jazz Apna Hai” is Mobilink’s new tag line for its prepaid brand Jazz. Above given advert is taken from today’s Daily Jang, a similar version has appeared in various national papers. TV and radio will also air the campaign for Jazz Apna Hai.

As, expected, its just the tag line that has changed, no real offering or new package for the customers for now.

  • for me seems to be very odd as how a ‘farangi’ name like JAZZ be yours own: as in APNA.

The brand team should think that they are targeting pure Pakistani market mostly of which don’t even know what JAZZ actually means then how can they own that brand or for that matter say “APNA HAI”.

  • Mobilink should do ‘SAMJHOTA’ with subscribers by focusing to improve quality instead of doing ‘SAMJHOTA’ with PTA. Otherwise Jazz subscribers will do ‘SAMJHOTA’ with other mobile phone company.

  • And why the hell would PTA have an issue with “No Samjhota”.

I think we should not put shame to the regulator for the silly slogan change.

No Samjhota started with mobilink offering the cheapest tariffs which they dont intend to do now as they must have learned that there is a limit to how lower tariffs can help…

From marketing perspective it was big boast that couldnt survive the test of time and now apnaaiyat comes in….

  • I feel No samjhota was good as it was for coverage , quality & rates. Only coverage is good in mobilink. :)

  • Coverage only on highways poor indoor service.

Got no signals of mobilink @ my place indoors.
    All other operators work fine.
    Location: Defence hyderabad

  • No Doubt Mobilink is providing best coverage and there call rates are also fine with Budget Package things they need to improve is SMS and VAS

  • add change karnay say kuch nahy hota koye new pakege ke zarorat hai customer ko jesay ufone sold offer

  • Mobilink as per network is good, but when it comes to data its worst, even a dialup is better then mobilink internet.

  • Lets See That Either Mobilink Is Only Changing It’s Slogan, Or Will Introduce New Services.

Currently, I Am Tired Of Receiving Their Promotional SMS Messages, Like Subscribe To Mobitunes, Dial 5555 Aur Lakh Patii Ban Jayeeay Etc.

Still Mobilink Failed To Provide Basic Call / SMS Block Service Which Other Operators Are Offering.

I Think Telenor / Djuice Is Better, As They Offer Web Base Interactivity, Like Updating Profile Online, Managing Smart Tunes Online, Managing Call Block Online And Many More.

  • What a pathetic tag line and campaign. If I were the CEO of Mobilink, I would fire the head of brands/marketing. This is one of the worst campaigns that has been launched by Mobilink. The theme and the quality of the ad are so bad! No samjhota was a much better campaign. Ufone campaigns are far more creative and engaging. Even Zong’s ads are improving. Mobilink needs a new head of brands before their ads become a laughing stock.

  • Mobile phones over the years have become driver of economic growth in emerging countries. Howver this does not warrant faux pas or does it? The senseless and pathetic ad campaign run by Mobilink is outrageous to say the least. The whole ad campaign, its new slogan “Apna hai”, actors, actresses, location and shooting paraphernalia was Indian.Being a sensitive Pakistani I have the right to ask this mobile operator why it did not consider the sensitivities of local culture and taboo therein.I loudly protest on this flagrant disregard of our culture and trampling of social norms. Now think again its apna or paraya.

  • Mobilink is the best network in Pakistan. They talk on reality. I live in Azad Kashmir and I observed that they say correct “Pura Signal Pura Pakistan”.
