Google, Yahoo and Twitter have released their top trending or otherwise top searched terms for the outgoing year 2011 giving us a good review of the year with stories and people that rocked the internet during the said year.
Google, with its Zeitgeist displayed a list of top trending topics or fastest-growing search terms, not necessarily the most searched terms of the year. Apple’s topped the charts with iPhone 5 (6th position), Steve Jobs (9th Position) and iPad 2 (10th position) as top growing search terms. Google+ stood second after Rebecca Black while “東京 電力” Japanese word for Fukushima also made to the list.

Along with year in stories, Twitter published a list of events that generated most tweets per second. Here you go
