This 500MB is the largest GPRS bundle from Telenor for its prepaid customers. Compared to this, Zong is offering 2GB (2048MB) GPRS in Rs. 200.

There is a difference of quality between Zong giving 2Gb and Telenor giving the same bandwidth, I have used both networks and trust me Telenor’s data connection is much much better than Zong’s.

I don’t know, in which city you have been using Zong Internet Package, but trust me, sometime Zong even beats PTCL 1MBPS Wi-Fi speed on my mobile device :) Zong has decent type of EDGE service in Lahore, i have been using the package from last one year!

Those who prefer zong internet over telenor should atleast use telenor’s internet once and they’ll know the difference of quality themselves.

skype will use 500 mb in just 3 or 4 days , even if you use it for only 1 hour.

Why charging pulse is 64K, warid charging 1K pulse. This will suck your 500MB in less than week (smartphone users).

Bahi if some app is automaitcally using it for 1 to 2 KB to update and intervals what does this means. its a lot of difference in data limited packages.

Wake up man the internet speed of telenor is way better than that of zong these 500MB are much more useful than zong’s 2GB atleast you can use it.

Yup! its seem to be a good joke from Telenor, as we are waiting for 3G here in Pakistan. I was waiting long before for an offer from Telenor that give a big amount of data while using zong 2GB and somehow not satisfied with it as zong internet speed is slower than all. Recently I sticked to zong as I bought their IDEOS.
This offer will be worthy if the data cap would increase to 1GB.
At last I think its time to say bye bye to GPRS/EDGE as 3G is just knocking at the door.

It is like per second voice pluse and per minute pulse. If u talk for 6seconds u have to pay for 6seconds. On minute pulse you have to pay 1 minute even you talk for 6 seconds.
Same is the case in GPRS warid have 1KB pulse. And Telenor have 64KB pulse. Means if some phone application uses 5KB data to update (e.g; FB) Telenor will charge you 64KB but warid will charge you 5KB.
Which means in Telenor at max 8000 sessions of GPRS in 500MB.
Same in warid u can have 512000 sessions if each session is of 1KB.
Well if we compare the quality we have …it may be better to use Telenor Gprs/ Edge .. But on expensive Rate , And some how we have to manage it between Zong and Telenor fr this as 3g is not coming at-least before 1,2 year …there are way to many formalities still left for 3g ….

Too late and too little. What boggles my mind is why the heck the mobile service providers charge so much exorbitant amount for internet over GPRS/EDGE?
They pay almost same amount to purchase internet from backbones of internet pipelines as other ordinary ISPs do.
The answer is simple, mobile service providers (all of them including Mobilink, Telenor, Zong, Warid, UFone) are simply looting general Pakistani public because they paid hefty amount for licenses. That’s why they just want to rob Pakistani public to earn money. All thanks to Pakistani government’s shortsightedness to sell mobile licenses at hefty amount. Well-done policy makers. You screwed us, really badly!

dear friends, try new gprs package on ufone @ 99 paisas from 1 am to 3pm also unlimited,cheap and fast.. Other wise use mobilink gprs for free, though slow but free. I am using it for about 5 month.

I have been using zong internet for past 5 6 months . . Initially it was 4 5 6 kBps . . 2 months back it was the max . . Abt 20 to 26 kBps at night . . And at day 10 to 15 kBps . . That was nice time . . But these days guess wat . . Zong speed is even less than 1 kBps . . Too bad . .

Yar mere khyal mei 500 mb behtr hai hum use to kr len gy telenor ki speed sb se ziada hai zong pr 2 mb ka gana 30 mnt mein hota hai.
Frnds! Telenor is the best network for GPRS & EDGS.its downloading speed is about 15 to 20 kbps.its really shocking for net user.
Although it’s expensive then to Zong but it’s also better in speed as compare to other networks.
I like this 500 Mb pakg.thanx telenor.
Zong bahot bakwas hai ! Mene socha sim badla ke check tho karoon i was so dissapointed to see how crap it was , im not sure if its my area but i couldent even load any videos because apperantly my connection was so slow ! So i reverted back to telenor and was so happy to get this offer there prices are ridiculous but atleast i can surf the internet without waiting half hour to load fb . But recently telenors. I have not used telenor but I m using zong 2gb for rs 200, I believe for a regular user zong is best but with slow speed. u may download tubemate application to download youtube videos in different quality format with faster downloading speed, and use opera mini for browsing on android mobiles ,then u will feel the total difference with zong 2gb is best and most economical package. zong zindabad cheers!
